On 30 January 2010 CPR held its inaugural launch meeting at the Elmstead Baptist church, South East London.

The meeting was attended by over 100 people, some of whom had travelled several hours to be at the meeting, including several Prison Chaplains and others who work as volunteers in prisons.

David Fortune gave a short demonstration of the the type of Bible studies that he conducts in the prisons. This was followed by prayers of dedication, lead by Gerard Chrispin and followed by several pastors and friends of the work. Then Brian Edwards delivered the address, a transcript of which can be downloaded.
